Jeesoo and I were finally able to meet up again, she had been out of town the last few weekends and we both have weird work schedules. Despite the rain we were able to get coffee together during my lunch hour. One thing led to another and we started talking about her mom and how she did not know that her mom had a long-time, live-in boyfriend until she flew back to see her a few months ago. This then prompted a discussion on Korean men compared to Korean-American men and the differences in dating culture between America and South Korea. We both came to the conclusion that men in South Korea are generally (very generally) more friendly and gentlemanly than Korean-American men.
