Ryan started the class with showing the students a list of past continuous sentence examples. He had students read them aloud and then explained the structure of the sentences. He pulled up an image of the Bernstein Bears to give a visual of an action that would use the past continuous. Ryan then asked the class to open their workbook to write five sentences using the past continuous. After walking around and marking notes in his notebook, he typed their mistakes up on a word doc and displayed them on the projector. They spent 10 minutes going over and correcting the mistakes.
