For our second meeting, I had Pj read 1 short story that was longer in length. Similar to our first meeting I had him stop after a paragraph or two to check his comprehension by having him summarize the past events. With the longer story, he seemed to lose focus more as he realized how long the story was.  However, the story was not too challenging for him. There were a few words we went over, but it was the perfect level for intensive reading. As a result,the story took us longer to get through before moving onto a few comprehension questions. The few questions were basic, however, I came up with follow-up questions to have him think about what he read more.
