Topic/Skill: Skills Assessment

Feedback provided to tutee:
His handwriting was quite sloppy, so it needed to be worked on. His words were a mix of capitals and lowercase in incorrect places, and even in the middle of words. He read at an amazing pace for a rising second-grader, but he often read so fast, his speech could not keep up. So I implemented an exercise to limit his reading pace to help comprehension.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned:
It was nice to apply the assessment learned in class to real life. With Astin, I was able to find out he was good at reading, but he needed to work on comprehension and writing. With this information, I am able to prepare better for the next session.
